Classroom Rules
- Honesty is the best policy.
- We always participate in our learning.
- We walk from place to place.
- Being polite is such a delight.
- We do the best we can do.
Rationale: These rules are set in place to help promote a safe and active learning environment for students. When students are honest I know they are will to take up their mistakes and try to fix them. Then when students participate in their own learning this can make a large difference between being engaged and falling behind. To help keep our students safe it is important that we walk from location to location so accidents are less likely to happen and we are more careful with what we do. Even then, we need to make sure we are polite and respectful to one another. How we treat one another can not only affect someone else's learning but also our own. However, none of these rules will do much unless we try the best we absolutely can do. If we just give up half way or don't try much then we cannot achieve all we possibly can. From personal experience when students try their best, even when other may be better than them, students are more likely to learn and improve on what they are trying to accomplish.
